Constructed photography series that portrays intimate scenes of family conflicts during dinner, reimagined outdoors with the family car as the central setting. Driven by a cinematic production design and reflecting diverse Mexican realities, this project captures the essence of these moments by displacing not only family members but also household elements, including furniture and the dinner itself. Its aim is to create evocative images that invite reflection on the multifaceted nature of family ties and the emotions that arise during times of friction, conflict, and disenchantment. By decontextualizing the scene and introducing surreal elements like plants and animals, This series immerses viewers in these situations, provoking an exploration of the emotional states within these moments of family life.

Apparent lights (Early Works)
"Apparent Lights" is an experimental portraiture series that defies traditional boundaries of photographic illumination. By deliberately incorporating flashes and light sources into the frame, this project blurs the line between subject and environment. Each composition becomes a dynamic interplay of light and human interaction, where the visible apparatus of illumination transforms into an active participant in the narrative. The resulting images capture moments of spontaneous engagement with the ephemeral glow. "Apparent Lights" seeks to challenge viewers to reconsider the unseen forces that shape visual perception, offering a meditative exploration of the symbiotic relationship between light and life.
"Zacatepec" (Early Works)
"Zacatepec" is a photographic documentary series that resurrects the spectral aura of bygone industrialism through the lens of B-movie aesthetics. This black-and-white series captures the haunting remnants of the sugar mill, transforming derelict spaces into evocative tableaux that echo cinematic narratives of yesteryears. On each frame we can flashback to stories of labor, decay, and resilience. The stark monochrome palette accentuates the textural decay, imbuing the images with a timeless quality that transcends the physical ruins. "Zacatepec" invites viewers to traverse the blurred boundaries between reality and the mythos of industrial grandeur, offering a reflection on the impermanence of human endeavor.

The Magician's Office
In the sepulchral stillness of an abandoned office, a mystical transformation emerges. This space, once destined for prosaic and routine work, becomes the setting for "The Magician's Office", a photographic project that transmutes the ordinary into the extraordinary.
Each photograph, as a portal, captures the playful spirit of those who will enter this magical metamorphosis. Friends of the photographer, along with the creator himself, slip between the shadows and crevices of this attic of time, giving it new lives and meanings. Dressed in the spontaneity and amazement of those who discover a new world, the subjects appropriate the space, breathing into it a renewed and bewitching essence.
The resulting images are individual testimonies of an intimate and festive collaboration. The portraits not only reveal the physical appearance of the subjects, but also capture their playful essence, their ability to imagine and daydream.Â
The use of abandoned space is not accidental; The desolation of the office, with its vestiges of a forgotten past, is vividly contrasted with the vitality and dynamism of the characters. This dichotomy highlights the human ability to reimagine and resurrect places devoid of life, injecting them with new energy through imagination and art.
